Leprosy is not a heriditary disease.
Unfortunately children of ex-patients faced considerable difficulties in gaining admission into schools nearby.
To overcome this difficulty, a residential school was established within the Anand Gram premises a few years ago.
The school at the Anand Gram at present has 250 students and classes are conducted from kindergarden to the seventh standard.
